Advantage Wisconsin
Advantage Wisconsin: Strategic Framework
Prepare Students
Strategic Challenge Question:
How can the UW System ensure that students are prepared with the integrative learning skills, multicultural competencies, and practical knowledge needed to succeed in and contribute to a rapidly changing, increasingly global society?
The Call for Change: The way the UW System educates students has always evolved. But never before has the need for evolution and reinvention been so pressing. In a knowledge-based economy, with rapid technological and societal change, students need to become stronger, life-long learners. They must learn, while still in college, how to apply their experience and knowledge to solve increasingly complex problems and succeed in a competitive, global economy. Furthermore, communities and workplaces will become increasingly diverse, requiring students to acquire additional skills and knowledge to become effective workers and citizens. The Think Tank will identify key opportunities to better prepare students.
